Studio Pop Up Experience + ART SALE

What a treat to open up a gorgeous local space for my dearest local collectors, admirers & art enthusiasts for an in-person one off Studio Pop Up Event. I loved to seeing your faces!

‘Suspended Animation 1’ brings a modern element that juxtaposes itself with this home’s Victorian architectural details.

The experience was held in a gorgeous 19th Century Victorian Row house (owned by a friend) in a vibrant part of the East End / Riverside area of Toronto. Situated just off Queen Street and down the road from the lovely Boxcar Social Cafe and conveniently just around the corner from my own home & studio.

“The urge for me to make art is not about replicating what I see, rather translating impressions of how I perceive the world and beauty around me. A photo has become a perfect container
to retain these traces of experiences”.

The space was the perfect backdrop to display and experience my latest release ‘The Necessary Art of Noticing’ close up and in the flesh. Along with LOTS of ‘Pre-Conditioned / loved’ pieces (Framed & Unframed Ex-rental artworks, small preliminary studio proofs and so on).

I also decided to part with a few pieces from my personal collection, as sadly I have been running out walls and a place to store them safely. It was much to my delight ALL of these special pieces near and dear to my heart sold out and went off to reside in beautiful new forever homes.

It had been a while since I hosted an in person Studio Event (4 years, in fact!), so it was super to reconnect with my collectors and connect with new beautiful faces, in person.

The event was a wonderful warm fuzzy success and I can’t wait to do it again. See you at the next one!
