To accompany the ‘Perspective Assembly’ series, I have released a limited edition run of ‘Studio Studies’ named ‘Assemble’. They are the building blocks / works in progress toward my ‘Perspective Assembly’ outcome. I loved them so much as individual assemblages, I decided to create a limited and accessibly priced, print run of them!
Now that they’re here and ready to venture into your own home’s vista, let’s chat about the ways they (and any neutral tone or monochromatic photograph) can be framed and displayed. I wanted to highlight a few alternatives to help you tap into your own inner stylist / creative curator zone!
Aside from styling, there’s the question of framing. To help you one step further toward achieving your curated framing goals - I have purposefully considered the 'Assemble' print sizing, to fit perfectly into my favourite 'Of The Shelf' Frame(s) by CB2.

There are in fact, a plethora of ways to style the ‘Assemble’ collection throughout your home. To start with, let’s think beyond walls. Sometimes the best things aren’t hung, they lean! Particularly for ‘Assemble’ which is a hybrid between a sculptural object and a 2D photography artwork. By nestling a smaller print on a bookshelf, bedside table, kitchen shelf (any surface really!) I feel as though the sculpture is given a second existence beyond the photograph, when you treat your framed piece as if it too was a sculptural piece.
You can also consider a styled vignette moment which works especially well for larger scale editions. Try leaning a sizeable framed edition against a wall, mantle or even the floor (ahh, it looks so fabulous). Not only can you build a vignette around the print (think plants, candlesticks, other smaller works), this strategy means you can easily change the artwork’s location. I personally love doing this, as the mood (or my passion for rearranging) strikes. I find that this sort of flexibility refreshes the artwork, it sometimes takes on a different mood in a different spot. Whether you do this habitually like I do, or just test out different spots to select your perfect location, I thoroughly recommend it!
Another classic ‘lean’ option is the cluster of pieces grouped tougher. An important tip to execute this visual is to use various framed sizes to make it look considered and curated.
