Lately I feel I have taken a dose of a Parisian interior LOVE tonic, especially when I view such homes as Patrick Gilles & Dorothée Boissier - a perfect example of 19th c. architecture coinciding with a 21st c. lifestyle. Oh wouldn't we all love to be surrounded with such beauty in our everyday … an extremely inspirational example of a mostly aspirational interior.

I loved seeing how art was placed in these homes and how it impacted on this particular space. I believe art plays an important role, not only for its aesthetics, but for the emotional, intellectual and personal connection one can experience from it. It can make a room all that more stunning while provoking contemplation and conversation.

Attracted to the tangible and tactile, it was little wonder these Parisian interiors with their plasterwork and mouldings sparked both my romantic and nostalgic cravings! Before I knew it I was off to discover how I would incorporate these architectural features, approach into a new art form.
The 'Taxonomy – Stag Beetle' series and 'My Heart's Content' are the result - a nod to the uncompromisable beauty of 19th century plasterwork mouldings and an ode to a bygone area of extreme opulence.

This is my way of introducing style and grace into my home and those of my audience, but you know, it always has a twist, look closely, what do you see?
